I truly believe that Chad Wood was murdered.  It's creepy knowing that there are people out there who have covered up and so far, gotten away with killing Chad.  I always have my eyes and ears open.  I am no vigilante, just a mom and citizen who is sick about Chad and Sasha's murders' as well as the other escalating unsolved crime in Eddy County.

I agree. There are many who know exactly who killed Chad. I hope some of the family members get on here and give some updates.

I am friends of Chad's family and I can tell you that as far as the sheriff's department is concerned Chad's case was closed the night they found him dead.  When Chad's family went up to Albuquerque and spoke to the state's omi they were told that they have to work off of the evidence that is sent to them.  They aren't a CSI unit and can't go collect their own evidence, they have to depend on the law enforcement offices to do for them.

They did agree that Chad died from carbon monoxide poising but the large amount didn't agree with the residue that wasn't on the car, the garage door and any thing else in the garage door.  With the amount in his body the items listed above should have been covered in it and it wasn't.  The lead detective didn't even bother to send the beer can in the console up to be analyzed and see what was in it.  Most people that dip can tell you that they will take a can (coke or beer) and squeeze it in the middle so that no one will drink from it and they will know that it is a spit can.

The sheriff's department didn't even bother to go and talk to Chad's employer or their employees to see what Chad's mental state was in the weeks or months leading up to his death.  If they had they would have been told about the threatening phone calls and several other things that had happened.

Waller did tell Chad's mother that he was sorry that his department dropped the ball on Chad's case but  NEVER did he offer to reopen it.  At that time he had the power to do that.  Would Mendoza do it now?  Who knows.  It will be interesting to see if Waller is around when Mendoza 1st tern is up and he runs for his second time.  Mendoza may find that he doesn't need Waller's extra weight.

Was Mendoza the one who was the officer in charge at the time they found Chad who was so anxious to call it a suicide even tho the ME wasn't so sure?

I think it was Jim Estrada, who would not let the OMI d their job. He told them IT WAS a sucide and wouldn't let them do any investigating.

If I am wrong about the name, someone please correct me. I do not want false info on this thread

No one hotmamma you are correct, it was Estrada.  He wasn't there 15 minutes when he called it.  Vickie (Chad's mother) tried to talk to him and he wouldn't listen.  Chad's dad was out of town and when he found out that he was out by 7 Rivers he told everyone that he was going home to bed and IF Mr. Wood wanted to talk to him, he could call him in the morning and left.  Paul wasn't 20 to 30 minutes away.

Sunnydayz, Mendoza was in charge of Artesia at that time and he did sit in on several of the meetings but didn't have anything to do with Chad's case as far as I know.

I don't know if Chad's family knows, but there are people out there that have information, but won't share it with the present sheriff's office. It is still "Waller Country" and they think it wouldn't do any good to say anything.  Let's don't let the killer/s get away with this. Come forward and lets band together.  Chad's memory deserves it!

Nothing seems to be going on with any unsolved cases in Eddy County.  I sometimes wonder if this bothers any of LEO's that were involved in any of these cases or if they even have a conscience.

And these people are and this information is . . . . . ?

I'm sorry, but since way back to The Rant days, anything involving Chad has always been "people know this" or "people know that" or "people have this information" or "people have that information".  And we never hear who "people" are or what the "information" is.  All we hear is rumor and suggestion.

How about something of substance?  If they have true, verifiable information, why not get it out?  Sure, maybe the Sheriff's office won't do a thing, but you'd be surprised how powerful public support can be.

People can scream impropriety all day long, but until it can be shown and verified, all the screaming doesn't really amount to much.

Of course, the last time I said something to this effect, some moron jumped in and accused me of being in on the murder/suicide.

The family has been told who has information, but they can't do anything about it if no one comes forward to share what they know!
